A quintet of charity challenges

Last year I undertook a number of physical challenge first as part of my Diamond Challenge for DofE.
This was the first time since my MPFL reconstruction in 2013 that I truly started to feel like myself. I was unable to cycle for a year after the operation, in 2016 completed a 48mile short sportive.

This year I am continuing to push the envelope re: my physical capabilities, and am undertaking 5 seperate charity challenges. All of which are a first.

In addition, they all raise funds for causes that I care about.
I was a regular donator to the UN’s water aid programme, had done a number of cancer charity events and currently sponsor a tiger.

Thanks to everyone that has already sponsored me for Women V Cancer Ride The Night, on 27th May. I have successfully reached and slightly exceeded the pre-set fundrasising target for this event – http://www.justgiving.com/SamRideTheNight2017

I could do with some assistance reaching the fundraising targets for the others, these events are:

13th May – Urban Tri, HIIT class followed by 6km run and rounded off with a yoga session – http://www.totalgiving.co.uk/mypage/sam-tries-urbantri

10th June – Senate House Abseil –https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/SamAbseils-SenateHouse
10th August – Streak for aTigers, me, naked, ‘running’ through ZSL London Zoo: http://www.justgiving.com/SamAs-TigerStreak

2nd September – Macmillan Peak District Mighty Hike, 26 miles in a day – withdrawn

An additional event that I thought would be ‘fun’: 16th September – Tough Mudder Half, Help for Heroes – http://www.eventbrite.com/donate/samantha-ahern/2161395

As part of training for these events I will be undertaking additional rides to the Sustrans rides (https://sites.google.com/site/stneotsrangers/calendar) attempting Park Run and getting back to open water swimming.

I am also hoping to complete some kayaking star awards this year and return to archery.

If you are able to sponsor me for these events that would be great, if can’t can you please spread the word.

Thank you!
